Tartarus Press just published a new little masterpiece of fantastic literature, the volume Green Thoughts and other stories by John Collier, British-born poet, novelist and screenplay writer.

Collier was witty and ironic in his works, with a peculiar inclination for the fantastic genre and the surprise endings and this earned him some pretigious awards like the International Fantasy Award and the Edgar Award in 1952.

Green Thoughts and other stories was his first collection of stories, back in 1932. The cover art of the volume was created by the very talented Cedric Laquieze.
