Il Nero Visibile di Ballingrud al cinema

73332620-FD24-4829-A2F7-D6928BD6E684Brad William Henke (Orange Is The New Black) e Karl Glusman (Nocturnal Animals) si sono uniti a Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson e Zazie Beetz  nel progetto cinematografico ancora senza titolo di Babak Anvari (previsto in uscita per il 2019), basato sul romanzo breve di Nathan Ballingrud The Visible Filth.

Nella storia, un barista di New Orleans vede la sua vita sconvolta da una serie di inspiegabili e inquietanti eventi dopo aver ritrovato un cellulare nel suo bar.

Il romanzo di  Ballingrud è stato pubblicato in Italia da Edizioni Hypnos con il titolo Il Nero Visibile, nella collana Visioni.

 

 

Brad William Henke (Orange Is The New Black) and Karl Glusman (Nocturnal Animals) have joined Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson, and Zazie Beetz in the yet to be titled Babak Anvari movie project (to be released in 2019), based on Nathan Ballingrud’s The Visible Filth.

The story follows a New Orleans bartender who, after picking up a cell phone left behind in his bar, experiences a series of disturbing and inexplicable events begin to unravel his life.

Ballingrud’s novella was published in Italian by Edizioni Hypnos with the title Il Nero Visibile, in the Visioni series.

The volume presents two works unpublished in Italian, Un Frammento di Vita and the shirt story “Un Doppio Ritorno” and also Machen’s masterpiece, Il Popolo Bianco, in paper and digital edition.

The book launch will be held on Saturday, 3rd March, on the Anniversary of Machen’s birthday, at the Mondadori Bookstore in Pavia, at 16 p.m.

Valancourt Books, the American independent publisher, revealed the cover art for Figures Unseen, the last collection by Steve Rasnic Tem, to be published in April, with foreword by Simon Strantzas.

The Author is already known by Italian readers for his novella Lovecraft Museum, published by Edizioni Hypnos, and the story Dolcetto o scherzetto a Halloween street, published by Delos Digital.

I finalisti dei Bram Stoker Awards 2017

La Horror Writers Association ha annunciato i finalisti dell’edizione 2017 dei Bram Stoker Awards, per le migliori opere di letteratura horror e dark fantasy.

La premiazione avverrà il 3 marzo, durante l’annuale StokerCon che si terrà dall’ 1al 4 marzo allo storico Baltimore Hotel di Providence, Rhode Island.

Tra le opere finaliste segnaliamo i romanzi I Wish I Was Like You di S.P. Miskowski e Ubo di Steve Rasnic Tem, il romanzo breve Agents of Dreamland di Caitlín R. The Horror Writers Association announced the 2017 Bram Stoker Awards Final Ballot. HWA is the premier organization for writers of horror and dark fantasy.

The presentation of the Bram Stoker Awards will occur during the annual StokerCon at the historical Baltimore Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island, during the gala dinner on March 3rd.

We would like to point out the novels I Wish I Was Like You by S.P. Miskowski and Ubo by Steve Rasnic Tem, the short novel Agents of Dreamland by Caitlín R. Kiernan and the anthology The Beauty of Death Vol. 2: Death by Water, published by  Independent Legions and edited by Jodi Renee Lester and Alessandro Manzetti, who is also a finalist with the poetry collection No Mercy.
