It was a gentleman, finely dressed in a black tailcoat and trousers, a spotless white shirt. There was a lovely white rose in his lapel. He wore leather gloves and carried a walking stick.

nuovi incubiFord is well known in the modern weird milieu but his works stretch to other genres, like fantasy, science fiction and mistery

Here we suggest you to read the story “A Terror”, in which you will find an interesting vision of Emily Dickinson, one of Ford’s most loved writers: you can find the original version on TOR website, and the italian version (with the title  “Un Piccolo Demone”) in the volume Nuovi Incubi.

Fantasy and Science Fiction #14

The Imago Sequence and Other Stories.

L’edizione italiana di F&SF, curata da Armando Corridore per le edizioni Elara, non è nuova a incursioni nella letteratura weird contemporanea: tra i nomi già apparsi sulla rivista Thomas Ligotti (“La Biblioteca di Bisanzio” The Library of Byzanthium, F&SF n. 9), Jeffrey Ford (“Il dolce legame” The Honeyed Knot, F&SF n. 9) e Jeff VanderMeer (“Un cuore per Lucrezia” A Heart for Lucrezia, F&SF n. 11).

imageNumber 14 of the italian version of Fantasy & Science Fiction, to be published in the first half of 2016, will be a very special issue for all the readers who love weird fiction, for the volume will contain “Shiva, Open Your Eye”, the short story by Laird Barron that gave to this great writer the attention of the magazine and american readers. The same story was then published in the first Barron’s collection, The Imago Sequence and Other Stories.

The italian version of  F&SF, edited by Armando Corridore for Elara, explores often the weird side of modern literature: on the past issues of the magazine you can find authors like Thomas Ligotti (“La Biblioteca di Bisanzio” The Library of Byzanthium, F&SF n. 9), Jeffrey Ford (“Il dolce legame” The Honeyed Knot, F&SF n. 9) and Jeff VanderMeer (“Un cuore per Lucrezia” A Heart for Lucrezia, F&SF n. 11).
