Nuova interessante antologia dedicata all’horror e al weird femminile: si tratta di Sycorax’s Daughters, a cura di Kinitra D. Brooks, Linda D. Addison e Susana M. Morris, e pubblicata dalla casa editrice californiana Cedar Grove Publishing. Ventotto racconti e di quattordici poesie di scrittrici afroamericane, come suggerisce il titolo stesso della raccolta (il riferimento è a Sicorace, la defunta strega africana de La Tempesta di Shakespeare).

The name in the title, Sycorax, refers to the african witch from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Le rime horror di Ramsey Campbell

PS Publishing offre al pubblico di appassionati di letteratura horror e weird un volume davvero singolare: stiamo parlando di Limericks of the Alarming and Phantasmal di Ramsey Campbell.

Si tratta di un’interessante raccolta di “limericks”, poesie spiritose e spesso “non sense” in cinque righe, nelle quali Campbell mostra tutta la sua abilità espressiva. Completano l’opera le illustrazioni di Pete Von Sholly.

The volume collects fifty limericks,  little funny poems in five lines, focused on weird and horror themes. The artwork is by Pete Von Sholly.
