Gli strani casi di Ulysse Bonamy
Edizioni Hypnos annuncia la creazione della nuova serie “Gli strani casi di Ulysse Bonamy”, di Ivo Torello, incentrata sulle avventure, tra orrore lovecraftiano, soprannaturale e tanto divertimento, di un ladro e donnaiolo nella Parigi degli Anni Ruggenti.
Il primo titolo, La gorgiera della contessa sanguinaria, ambientato nel medesimo universo narrativo de La casa delle conchiglie, ci trasporta in un mondo di stregonerie e malavita, equivoci e spaventi, farabutti, colpi di scena e situazioni imbarazzanti che metteranno alla prova le abilità di Ulysse Hilaire Bonamy, investigatore suo malgrado, a metà tra Arsenio Lupin e Simon Templar.
Il volume, in uscita il 21 giugno, è disponibile in prevendita sul sito dell’editore. Copertina di Elena Nives Furlan.
Edizioni Hypnos announced a new series, “Gli strani casi di Ulysse Bonamy” by Ivo Torello, focused on the adventures of Ulysse Hilaire Bonamy, thief, crook and playboy, and detective much again his will, in Paris during the Roaring Twenties.
The first title, La gorgiera della contessa sanguinaria, takes place in the same world described in the novel La casa delle conchiglie and shows the reader a world of lovecraftian horror, supernatural, witchcraft, scoundrels and funny embarrassing situations that will test the abilities of this unusual detective, a sort of Arsène Lupin meeting Simon Templar.

Vastarien: rivista dedicata a Ligotti e al fantastico
Ha visto finalmente la luce il progetto Kickstarter cha ha portato al primo numero della rivista Vastarien : A Literary Journal, diretta da Matt Cardin e Jon Padgett, e dedicata all’opera di Thomas Ligotti e più in generale all’orrore sovrannaturale. Diversi contributi critici, ma ricca anche la parte di narrativa nelle fitte 284 pagine di questo primo numero. Ecco qui di seguito i contenuti.

La Bestia dalle cinque dita in Italia!
È disponibile da oggi, in versione cartacea e digitale, La bestia dalle cinque dita, il primo volume pubblicato in Italia dedicato a William Fryer Harvey, celebre autore di storie di fantasmi.
Il volume contiene sedici storie del mistero e del soprannaturale, tra cui due classici del fantastico Calura d’agosto e La bestia dalle cinque dita: quest’ultimo, che dà il nome all’antologia pubblicata da Edizioni Hypnos, è già noto al grande pubblico per la trasposizione cinematografica del 1946 dal titolo Il mistero delle cinque dita, con Peter Lorre e diretta da Robert Florey.
La Bestia dalle cinque dita inaugura anche la nuova veste grafica della collana “Biblioteca dell’Immaginario”, a opera dell’art director di Edizioni Hypnos, l’Artista Ivo Torello.

Nuova antologia per Undertow Publications: si tratta di The Dream Operator dello scrittore gallese Mike O’Driscoll.
Il volume, pubblicato sia in paperback che in hardcover, raccoglie tre romanzi brevi tra cui quello che dà il titolo alla raccolta, e altri otto racconti, in un mix di atmosfere horror, noir, fantasy e soprannaturali.

Undertows Publications just published a new Interesting collection, by Welsh writer Mike O’Driscoll: The Dream Operator.

Nuova uscita per la Casa Editrice Three Hands Press, specializzata nella diffusione di opere letterarie e artistiche riguardanti temi come esoterismo, folklore, magia e misticismo: si tratta di Sylvan Dread- Tales of Pastoral Darkness di Richard Gavin, già noto ai lettori di Edizioni Hypnos per il racconto “Una Caverna di Mattoni Rossi”, contenuto nel volume Nuovi Incubi.
La raccolta, la quinta dell’Autore, contiene dodici racconti a tema soprannaturale e la copertina è dell’Artista Jim Dunk.
Three Hands Press, the Publishing House dedicated to literature and art in the world of magic, folklore and mysticism, announced the next collection of short stories by Richard Gavin, Sylvan Dread- Tales of Pastoral Darkness.
