The Horror Writers Association announced the 2018 Bram Stoker Awards Final Ballot.
Between the finalists, Ted E. Grau, already known by Italian readers for the short story “La missione” published in Hypnos Magazine #8, nominated for his first novel I Am The River, Victor LaValle with the graphic novel Victor LaValle’s Destroyer, and the Italian Alessandro Manzetti with the poetry collection War, in collaboration with Marge Simon.

I Am The River di T.E. Grau
Finalmente disponibile anche in Italia in versione digitale il nuovo romanzo di T.E. Grau, I Am the River, una toccante storia sullo sfondo degli orrori della guerra del Vietnam.
Il romanzo, che mescola sapientemente elementi horror e weird, è stato definito da Jon Padgett “uno dei migliori romanzi del 2018”.
Di T.E. Grau è in pubblicazione in italiano sull’ottavo numero della rivista Hypnos, per conto di Edizioni Hypnos, il racconto The Mission, dalla sua prima raccolta The Nameless Dark.
It is finally available in Italy the digital edition of the new novel by T.E. Grau, I Am The River, a story about the horrors of the war in Vietnam. Jon Padgett described this novel, where horror and weird are beautifully mixed, “one of 2018’s best novels”. T.E. Grau will be also published soon by Edizioni Hypnos in Italian on the new issue of the weird magazine Hypnos.

Edizioni Hypnos annuncia la prossima pubblicazione del nuovo numero della rivista Hypnos Magazine, prevista per la seconda metà di settembre.
Hypnos 8 conterrà ben otto racconti inediti di autori internazionali e italiani: si passa dalla regina del weird contemporaneo Caitlín R. Kiernan alla talentuosa Kij Johnson, della quale la casa editrice milanese ha già pubblicato il bellissimo romanzo breve intitolato La ricerca onirica di Vellitt Boe, senza dimenticare il vulcanico T.E. Grau per poi tornare sui classici con John Meade Falkner e Heinrich Clauren. Sul fronte italiano, saranno presenti i racconti dei vincitori dell’ultimo Premio Hypnos, Materiali per una guida della Val Lemuria, di Cristiano Demicheli, e La colonia, di Giulia Massini, e un testo di Massimo Soumaré, Storia di lune, gatti e astronomi.
Non mancheranno infine gli articoli, con un testo di Franco Piccinini su E.A. Poe e un’analisi della figura del grande Alfred Kubin, e infine Weird Library, rubrica di recensioni a cura di Laura Sestri.

Edizioni Hypnos announced the new issue of Hypnos Magazine, Hypnos 8, with a rich choice of short stories ranging from Caitlín R. Kiernan and Kij Johnson to T.E. Grau, John Meade Falkner, Heinrich Clauren and Italian writers like Cristiano Demicheli, Giulia Massini, Massimo Soumaré. This issue will feature also two essays on the works of E.A. Poe and an analysis of the great Artist Alfred Kubin.

Shirley Jackson Awards 2015
Sono stati pubblicati i candidati allo Shirley Jackson Award 2015, il premio annuale per la letteratura horror, dark e di suspense psicologico, istituito in onore al contributo letterario della scrittrice americana scomparsa nel 1965.
I vincitori saranno proclamati domenica 10 luglio 2016, durante la Readercon 27, Conference on Imaginative Literature, Quincy, Massachusetts.
